A landslide is a large mass of dry rock matierial, soil and anything else found within the earth sliding down the side of a mountain, cliff or any areas of high land. A land slide is very similar to an avalanche.
Landslide can be caused by several reasons.They can be triggered by rains, floods, earthquakes, and other natural causes as well as human-made causes, such as grading, terrain cutting and filling, excessive development anything that puts excissive pressure on to an unstable part of earth.
